چکیده

A 65‐year‐old man with a history of smoking for 30 years was hospitalized in our stroke unit with a complaint of recurrent transient right‐side numbness. Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)/magnetic resonance angiography did not demonstrate any abnormities. However, he experienced another two same episodes before discharge. Further, head and neck computed tomography angiography (CTA) showed a complete DAA and a dissecting aneurysm in the distal C1 segment of the left internal carotid artery (ICA) [Figure 1a‐1d]. Then, a rechecked MRI showed a new infarction lesion located in the left thalamus [Figure 1e].

An Aortoenteric Fistula Arising after Endovascular Management of a Mycotic Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Complicated with a Psoas Abscess

Mycotic aortic aneurysms account for 1–3% of all aortic aneurysms. The management of this disease is controversial. Since open surgical repair is associated with high morbidity and mortality rates, endovascular aneurysm repair is an alternative treatment method with promising early and midterm outcomes, although its long-term durability is unknown.Secondary aortoenteric fistulas may occur iatro...

Hybrid Endovascular Repair of Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm in a Patient with Behçet's Disease Following Right to Left Carotid-carotid Bypass Grafting

Endovascular repair of inflammatory aortic aneurysms has been reported as an alternative to open surgical treatment. In selective cases, adjunctive bypass surgery may be required to provide an adequate landing zone. We report a case of endovascular repair of an inflammatory aortic aneurysm in a patient with Behçet's disease using a carotid-carotid bypass graft to provide an adequate landing zon...

Dissecting aneurysms of the distal segment of the posterior inferior cerebellar arteries: clinical presentation and management.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Dissecting aneurysms of the distal segment of the PICA are rare. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical presentations, imaging features, treatment options, and clinical outcomes of dissecting PICA aneurysms. MATERIALS AND METHODS Six patients with dissecting aneurysms in the distal segments of PICA were found in the database of a single medical center, f...

Long-term results of endovascular repair for distal arch and descending thoracic aortic aneurysms treated by custom-made endografts: usefulness of fenestrated endografts.

OBJECTIVE We evaluated early and long-term results of atherosclerotic aneurysm repair with custom-made endografts. MATERIALS AND METHODS Eighty-one consecutive patients underwent thoracic endovascular aortic repair with custom-made endografts. Fenestrated grafts were used in 37 patients (45.7%) to maintain blood flow of the neck and a landing zone for as long as possible for distal arch or pr...
